This is Still Not an Art Blog.

Photobucket

This is what happens when I'm left alone on a Friday night...with the ipod, and some cheap canvas board...

...during a thunderstorm.

  1. Oh my word, who are these Pink Fairies. I have a feeling my itunes bill is going to get a little bigger from visiting your Blog.

    Love the paintings too.

Off now to Google Pink Fairies...

  3. If it's not an art blog, it soon will be at this rate. :-) Nice stuff for a Friday night.

    1. I start traveling again tomorrow...Baton Rouge...we'll be on to warm cracklins, penny slots, a big mouth mess that runs a diner, and live oaks.

Thank you ma'am...I may make a habit of seeing how the Boy has made a habit of completely wearin' Martha out by Friday afternoon.

  4. Ah, what a bunch of sweeties... (I know you'll get that!) Most impressive and looks like you had fun too. Do the pics have titles yet? Great paintings and great music, thanks.

(Btw I like the PF's version of 'I Saw Her Standing There' too)

    1. :)

Thank you kindly...I really like the first one. I suppose it's derivative but, it's a lot cheaper to paint things I like to look at than pay for them.

The titles are Allan 7 and Allan 6...Allan is my dearest friend down here and makes an occasional appearance and he utterly, unequivocally, unapologetically hates these paintings.

A pint of Old Gran Dad might have improved the evening but, otherwise I have no complaints.

  5. That face - the stuff of nightmares for me. Compelling but frightening. I wonder why. Might be a flashback to a wild night last night...mmmm....
The PFs - now there is a trip.

    1. Martha thinks it's creepy to...I don't know. I didn't really mean for it to be.

I do hope we'll be hearing more about last night. Leeds again?

    2. Local on Sat night. Always the best (and worst). I get to have great fun at the time - and then next morning get to remember (in 3D vision strangely) that walk of middle-aged shame...the last two drinks at 1am in the only place in town still open (this is hicksville e.f.), surrounded by youngsters greeting me by the names "Heyyyyyyy Megan's Mum!!!!!!" (mwah mwah) or "Heyyyyyyy Louis Mummmmmm!!!!!!". Ohhhhh I will never never learn... Anyway, nuff said about that! Leeds is the 17th of March!

  6. Dude... the top one I would hang on my wall, thats a high a praise as I have to offer another mans painting! The bottom one I don't like the yellow and red, if they had been blue and purple I'd have dug that... black and white would work again.

    1. Damn it. I've already said the top one was my favorite...now I have to think of something wrong with it.

I'm just glad you can see the bottom one...it's gone blank on me.

    2. Well the red strip on the left is a bit dominant, its encroaches on the black rectangle a little too much and its in you face the way it jumps of the bottom and top, the green should have cut into it I felt. But you know, its good.

    3. You just don't get it...hahaha

      Now I feel better.

      Thanks bud.

    4. I'm glad we could bring your world back into a little balance :P

in addition, every time I comment blogger asked me:
'Please prove you're not a robot' If I didn't know how inept you were with this sort of thing, I'd suspect this was a custom question for me alone.

    5. Yeah. You know I didn't pull that off.

Even the blogger knows about your obsession withe the Celsius and your hatred of the classic gagnsta rap smash Straight Outta Compton.

  7. Yup, another vote for the top one here, like that a lot. And it goes without saying, any gratuitous appearance of the Pink Fairies is a good thing in my book.

  8. I had you specifically in my when I chose it from the evenings songs.

It was so loud I couldn't hear the thunder.
