Is this accidentally the wrong way up? It seems like the black strip is a road and should be on the bottom. That would mean the red bit must be the explosive trail from some acme rocket boots, which have just propelled the weared out of shot.
Yep, 'fraid so. After some tweaking, it was a bit too abstract to stand as a comment here; so I put it on my blog instead. The chianti riserva may have been a factor.
